Information About this Event
Robby Krieger played guitar in the Doors and co-wrote many of the group’s hits. With a new touring band that includes his son Waylon Krieger, he brings their legendary songs back to the stage.
Krieger began as a classical guitarist, but was inspired at a Chuck Berry concert to take up rock & roll. Krieger played in bands with friends in college, and eventually connected with John Densmore. He then met keyboardist Ray Manzarek, who introduced him to a poet/singer he’d been working with, Jim Morrison. Their first rehearsal supposedly resulted in the penning of “Moonlight Drive,” which launched the Doors. Their top hits include “Light My Fire,” “Hello, I Love You” and “Touch Me.”
