TWISTED SHORTS is an evening of hilarious one-act comedies from the pen of local playwright Frederick Stroppel. Featuring the inspired talents of performers Joanna Keylock and Peter Plano, these sharp satirical plays on a range of dark contemporary topics will leave you gasping with laughter.
Long Island native Frederick Stroppel is a playwright and screenwriter who has been produced off-Broadway and on the international stage, from Moscow to Budapest to Australia, winning awards and making audiences laugh all over the world. A founder member of the sketch group Third Rail Comedy, his one-acts have been performed at Caroline’s, the Gotham Comedy Club, The West Bank Cafe, The Nuyorican Poets Café, Catch a Rising Star, and the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival. He wrote and directed the web series Suburban Legends, and his screenplays include the award-winning Glacier Bay and the upcoming Charlie Boy.
