In Italian luce means “light of life.” As the name suggests, the Tuscan setting is open and airy with warm inviting colors, subdued lighting, blond wood treatments, and graceful drapes framing tall windows. Fresh flowers and candlelight add romance. A double sided fireplace was recently added which radiates a soft glow in the vestibule and main dining room. Caccippio family photos are affectionately displayed on the mantle.
Executive Chef Dino Vlacich created the extraordinary menu with nuovo Italian dishes that are a repertoire of his experiences as a chef in highly regarded Long Island restaurants. They are true to form of simple wholesome Italian cooking with a Tuscan flair. The menu is extensive and there are daily specials, but if you don’t see what you want, Dino will make it for you. The carefully crafted wine list of mostly Italian and American labels pair well with the authentic Italian dishes. Portions are large but leave room for their sensational homemade desserts.
