Maddie Pizzarelli is a New York City-based singer/songwriter and guitarist. Maddie Pizzarelli is also a diner fixture, alternate guitar tuning advocate, bodacious cowboy, prosciutto consumer, obsessive playlister, snarky diarist, 2007’s “Most Enthusiastic at Day Camp” winner, and interminable list maker. Inspired by the lyrical depth of Joni Mitchell, the rhythmic vitality of Mumford & Sons, and the brazen emotionality of Alanis Morissette, her songs explore coming of age, relationships, and feminine angst through her introspective lyrics and muscular acoustic guitar playing. She has been performing professionally since she was sixteen, in venues such as Los Angeles’s Disney Hall, New York’s Birdland Jazz Club, the Lincoln Center American Songbook Series, and the Montreal Jazz Festival. Pizzarelli is also a Zoom graduate of Brown University and an alumna of the LaGuardia High School for Music and Art & Performing Arts vocal department, where she was a member of the acclaimed New Music Ensemble.
