The Fray are a rock band from Denver, Colorado, whose current lineup includes frontman and co-founder Joe King, lead guitarist and bassist Dave Welsh and drummer Ben Wysocki. Founded in 2002 by King and original lead vocalist Isaac Slade, the band shot to fame with their debut album How to Save a Life (2005). The studio effort included the smash singles “Over My Head (Cable Car)” and “How to Save a Life” and was eventually certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA.) The group’s self-titled sophomore album, The Fray, was released in 2009 and became their first to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Further Top 10 albums in The Fray’s discography include Scars & Stories (2012) and Helios (2014). After more than a decade, The Fray are returning with their long-awaited fifth studio album, A Light That Awaits, in March 2026.
