The Jackie Mason Musical is based on the playwright’s ten-year romance with comedy legend Jackie Mason and features their love child Sheba Mason along with a cast of hilarious characters, including popular Jackie impersonator Ian Wehrle as Jackie Mason.  The romance begins at The Rascal House in Miami Beach in 1977, where Jackie spots the much younger Ginger. Soon he’s wooing her whenever he’s in South Florida. Along for the ride are Ginger’s glamorous yet scheming mother Mrs. Olivier, and Mason’s sidekick Shlepalong – who must always create white lies to cover the comic’s womanizing escapades. The “Soaring” original score includes  “Ode to The Early Bird Special”, “I Never Met This Yenta” and “The Finger”, highlighting the romantic misadventures of Jackie Mason as Broadway stardom emerges and  Sheba is born.
